An SSD is a Solid State Drive which is a very fast and quiet data storage device.
Right now they're still pretty expensive, but you can get a 120GB SSD for $100 or so, which is more than enough for your Windows partition.

you will save more than 100$ by going 3570k instead of 3770k, that kind of money just for hyperthread and more cache is crap

3570K + custom watercooling loop/Noctua NH-D14, air cooling, closed waterloop cooling isn't sufficient for Ivy Bridge, you need something extreme to cool it at speeds that are above 4,5GHz that is if you want your chip to run at 75ish degrees on full load.

How ever if you're happy with a 4.5GHz do spend that money on an SSD, preferably 2x 128SSDs in raid as most people(me lol) wont see fit with 128GB for Windows aswell as their applications/games, going for 128GB is a fine choice though. Keep in mind when buying SSDs, more is better than bigger.

Why more? raid zero SSD performance is balling.
