I am playing Skyward Sword with an Xbox One for PC gamepad, and after some awkward moving around initially I got pretty used to the controls. However, I just picked up the sword from the training hall and am trying to use it...While using Z-Targeting, sometimes when I move with the left analog stick Link will swing his sword as if I'm using the right stick and it's very irritating trying to get Link to move properly while z-targeting. Is this supposed to happen? How can I get it to stop?

Also, when I use the first-person look around feature, it moves around super erratically and in inverse directions. My controller configuration is as follows: http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w514/zeldalink555/dolphinzelda2.jpg

The dolphin build or controller? I'm using dolphin-master-4.0-8315-x64, the screenshot is not mine but I copied the configuration.

Current Dolphin builds have no Motion Plus emulation at all, so, if you actually managed to go in-game without a real Wiimote + Motion Plus accessory (or a Wii Remote Plus) you're certainly using the ancient builds from JPeterson's Emulated Motion Plus branch and yes, those builds are reeeeealy old (3.0-era) and thus, not supported in the forums. We only provide support for the latest stable release (currently 4.0.2) and latest development versions...

Thank you very much for this reply. I will not take up too much more of your time. I just really, really wanted to play this game as it's the only mainline 3D Zelda I missed out on. So basically you're saying that I can't play this game with Dolphin currently? Or is there some other way? (sorry, I literally had no idea Dolphin existed until today.)

And yes, you are correct, Sir. I downloaded the motion plus add-on off mediafire in order to play Skyword Sword, but it's not working very well, so I guess i'm outta luck.

In the official versions of Dolphin, only if you have a real Wiimote + Motion Plus Accessory or a real Wii Remote Plus (and the other requirements, such as a BT adapter/sensor bar or just the MayFlash DolphinBar). And to be clear, you're free to use unsupported builds (like the ancient ones with rudimentary Motion Plus emulation), it's just you'll need to deal with any problems you encounter by yourself because we don't support unofficial and such old builds here in our forums.

Also, by personal experience, Skyward Sword is a game that makes extensively use of the Motion Plus/Nunchuk/Sensor Bar, while you may actually manage to get outside of the village or even to the first dungeon after messing with emulated Motion Plus controller options for a while, later in the game you'll need to do some complex and quick movements that are virtually impossible to do with the unofficial emulated Motion Plus builds...

You've been super helpful, mate, and I really hate to be this guy, but do you think you could provide me with a short list of exactly the peripherals I will need to buy in order to play this game properly on my PC? I know you listed some above, but I don't have much money atm and don't want to buy anything I don't need to.

Assuming you're on Windows, buying a MayFlash DolphinBar and a genuine Wii Remote Plus + Nunchuk is enough for probably any Wii game you may want to run in Dolphin (Skyward Sword included). You can refer to our recommended accessories guide for some direct Amazon links of products that are guaranteed to work fine with Dolphin (also, if you buy through those links you're actually helping Dolphin)...

Of course I will order them through those links. I'm always happy to help support anything like this. Without saying much, I enjoy what helps me live a less restricted life. I'm actually pretty excited now to get this stuff. Thanks so much for your advice.
