My specs:

OS: Windows 7 x64
CPU: AMD Athlon II X2 220 Processor, 2.80 GHz
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series
RAM: 3.00 GB

I'm using Dolphin 3.5 x64. Just about every game I've tried (Metroid Prime 2, Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, Star Fox Assault, Super Mario Sunshine, Soul Caliber II) runs at 60% speed or less, 25fps or less. Here are my settings, let me know if I omitted anything important:

And nothing is enabled in the advanced tab. Should I be expecting these games to run faster? I can smoothly run games like Skyrim, Black Ops 2, and Batman Arkham City on high settings...

EDIT: I forgot to mention background programs. I closed out all applications before trying to play, and even ran the emulator with Game Booster. Still no dice.

PC gaming performance rely on your graphic card power
Emulation is CPU dependent application . Your CPU is too old and slow for Dolphin

Ah, I see. Do you think overclocking my CPU would give me any significant speed boost, or is it a lost cause?

It will help of course. But don't expect too much though
