Well, damn, dude. That sucks. I don't know about the US, but in the UK you could probably go and see your doctor and tell them you're concerned about your mother and they'd be able to recommend someone to talk to about it and, if necessary, get her some kind of help. I don't imagine that'd be too different anywhere else.
