I need some help with cheats

I just downloaded dolphin today so I'm brand new to it. The game I'm trying to cheat on is the resident evil remake. What I tried so far was, right clicking the game and going to properties, went to the AR codes tab, I then proceeded to enter a few cheats that I received from codejunkies website. After entering the cheats I started the game up to find that the cheats were not working. Could I be doing something wrong?

Is there anything in the thread that's related to my problem? I can't seem to find anything.

I didn't realize that I needed to have the "Enable Cheats" option checked. After doing that the game will start up telling me that the cheats were enabled. When i try to load or start a new game the emulation will freeze before it gets into the actual game, every single time i try with cheats enabled, so what's wrong now?

You may try use a different version of dolphin
