Dolphin uses DirectX9. Try to update your DirectX9. It won't cause any troubles with DirectX10.

All games i have tried so far: Tales Of Symphonia GC, Fire Emblem GC, Ikaruga GC.
Using the latest svn 2752, same problem with 2745 + 2684.

* XP SP 2.
* Intel Core 2 CPU T7200 @ 2.00Ghz (2 CPUs).
* 2046MB RAM.
* ATI Mobility Radeon X1800 ( 256 MB ).

Had that same problem and made a post about it: http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/thread-97.html

Basically, if you have an ATI GPU and want to use Dolphin's anti-aliasing they conflict with each other. You want to open Catalyst Control Center in advanced view (if you're on basic view just click on view/advanced view) click on 3d (on the left), select Anti-Aliasing and make sure "use application settings" is selected".

Actually I personally prefer to do the opposite, I set the ATI Anti-aliasing to 8x and I disable the Dolphin anti-aliasing, I find it gives better results.

Dolphin: http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/4963/dolphin.jpg

Hope that solved your problem!

@Ashantael : tried that but always the same problem.

I tried now Tales Of Symphonia in Dolphin_2276, it worked + all the other games but with lots of bugs & crashs.

I'm having this problem too. Tales of Symphonia.

Intel Core 2 Quad Core at 2.4Ghz
GeForce 9600 GT (which is listed as having 2.1 for OpenGL support)

The OpenGL video plugin always gives me a black screen no matter what. I have fully updated DirectX, my graphics card drivers are fully updated (the updaters tell me so) and I've installed the C++ thing.

The DX9 video plugin works on revisions 1546 and 2276 (those are the only ones I have right now that are working...slowly and crash prone.)

I have the following revisions and none work:2195, 2962, 3056, 3061, 3067, 3068, 3071

I've tried everything listed in this topic.

I'm trying to run Wii sports/play atm, neither work, still getting the black screen thing. That AA thing sounds interesting though, I'm not on an ATI GPU, but I might see what settings I can force on my 8800 nvidia card...

Edit: So I tried disabling all the forced options in the NVIDIA control panel, played around with a bunch of config settings, old builds of dolphin, even managed to get a masterkey dump from my friends wii, and STILL I get a black screen and sound only. Anyone got any last ditch ideas?

Sad

Really nothing? I hate to spam but I don't get why some people can run dolphin with no problems and yet I can't.. Plus the games I'm trying to run are on the compatibility list.
