i need help controller configuration

ive been using this for weeks i have a mac and have been playing gamecube games with a usb gameecube controller with no problems configuring it. i tried today and i click the buttons to configure and it would work i would configure it all the buttons clicked but when i played the game it never worked... idk what happened it randomly stopped working in the game idk whats wrong anyone help???/
