I'm getting very frustrated (and asking myself why does this always happen to me?)

This was from a thread in the general forums. Someone please explain to me why SMG2 hangs in certain areas (drops to 50 fps) and is not at a consistent 60+ fps with my CPU @ 4.5?

Well, no CPU can handle a game @ fullspeed all the time, especially, when you play a very demanding game.

I find it funny with HLE on I can easily get 60+ fps with SMG2. But when I switch LLE on, it drops to 50-60 fps. I thought LLE wouldn't be an issue on an i5 3570k @ 4.5. Apparently, it is.

I can have HLE checked and LLE on thread checked at the same time?

Because LLE on thread = SLOW DOWN. Not speedup.

SMG is also GPU intensive game . Make sure you don't use too much AA , in my opinion you should disable AA
SSAA (dirext 9) is more demanding than MSAA (Directx11)
Try to lower the IR to 3x or even 2x
2 months ago , there is guy who has the same specs as you . He posted a thread in hardware section and complained why he had poor performance with SMG . We told him to post his settings and then figured out that he used too much AA

I don't use AA with SMG. My internal resolution is @ 3X. I'm going to switch to 2X and post results.

xcyper, you are doing something wrong...I am getting fullspeed with only i5 2400 3.1 ghz which cant even be overclocked...
Look at the screenshoots I made in the thread admin linked...then post same screenshoots in the same places here lets see what kind of perfomance you get..you should obviously get more then I..

For example, when Mario is standing on his starship I am getting around 85 fps with LLE and 95 fps with HLE. ( with framelimit off )
What are you getting there ?
You should get more then me.
If you are getting more, then please show me the place in the game where you get 50 fps yet at starship you get almost 100 fps.
If you get less them me at starship, its pretty clear something is wrong on your side

Maybe driver issues or some program use too much CPU resources
A fresh install of windows might fix that . There are 2 users who reinstalled windows like i told them to and fixed that problem , they are laptop users though
It makes me really sad that I can't be of any help to you .
