For a long time now, I've been unable to fully appreciate Dolphin, due to the lack of any hardware that was powerful enough. And even now, my system is technically weak. I have a refurbished HP Pavilion with a puny 1.6ghz AMD A8 processor, and had to settle with only achieving half speed in my games, which, to be honest, really dulls the experience.

Well, just yesterday, I discovered the art of overclocking, and while I am aware that is can be dangerous, I went along with it anyway, in hopes that I can improve performance. Now my processor clocks to 3.0ghz while gaming, and all my games now run at full speed, making them all that more enjoyable. And best of all, I haven't experienced any problems from the overclocking.

But now that I can fully appreciate everything Dolphin has to offer, I have to say that I am really impressed. Never before have I felt so satisfied on being able to run a game on my PC flawlessly. This is a feat that I have never dreamed possible for me. And not only that, but with every new revision, Dolphin seems to be getting more and more advanced and refined, which shows that this emulator has a bright future ahead of it. I hope that someday, Dolphin will be able to utilize the CPU and GPU equally, and at the rate it is progressing, I'm sure it will.

Keep up the good work, Dolphin devs! Your work is truly appreciated.

(Also, this is off topic, but why does Super Mario Sunshine supposedly require EFB to RAM? I've been playing it with EFB to Texture with no problems.)

This probably belongs here.

Also about the Super Mario Sunshine thing. Did you check the ini file? It's probably overriding Dolphin's settings and playing with EFB to RAM anyway.

The goop that you clean with your water cannon doesn't clean up properly without EFB to RAM. It may look like it does, but it's still there when you walk on it with EFB to Texture. You may actually be using EFB to RAM without knowing it since Dolphin sets EFB to RAM by default for that game.

I apologize for not posting this in the proper spot. I was not aware there was such a thread. I must have skipped over it in the stickies.

And I suppose that makes sense. I wasn't aware it was set to that by default though. That's neat to know.

I dont know what you want to say with that thread. You talk a bit about your cpu and ocing, and there is a thread yet where you can thank the devs.

So this thread is a bit senseless?

And no, ocing isnt dangerous, not even for noobs Big Grin lol, like noobs always may have the picture of the burning pc in their brain Big Grin

The PC will not boot if oc settings are bad, and it will crash when cpu gets too hot, so nothing happens.

Only stupid thing is, when your pc even doesnt boot into BIOS anymore. Then you have to jump BIOS, yay. hf.
