I have been unable to find a solution online to get CleanRip to work

   Hello everyone!  I have been trying to get CleanRip to get my game on a flashdrive, but I always get a write error message whether I am using FAT32 or NTFS.  There have not been many people reporting this online and the couple I found did not get answers to fix it.  When I used NTFS my game started to download, but after about 30% I got the write error message and then the screen went black without anything happening.  With FAT32 it happened immediately.  Another thing to note, was that the game was a GameCube game and the ETA said it should take an over an hour and thirty minutes, which I find strange for a GameCube game.    

  The problem should not be my game as the discs are in extremely good condition.  I have also already tried Rawdump and friidump after ordering a GDR8082n, which is supposed to be supported, but Rawdump said I had a faulty drive and friidump would always fail at retrieving disc seeds.

  Can anyone help me?  I am starting to get a little disheartened at all of these things not working and I was really looking forward to using Dolphin.  If you need more information on my problem, I will try to give it.

Sounds like your flashdrive might be one of the bad ones. Can you try dumping to sd card instead? If you get the same error at about 30%, there might be something wrong with the disc or your disc drive. Also, scratches on the top side of discs are the dangerous ones.

Which version of cleanrip are you using?

Sorry for the late reply, but I got busy. Thank you very much for the tips, I will look into them! I am using CleanRip v.2. I can maybe try using another SD card if I buy another one or another flash drive, since I have more of those. I will also look on the top of my discs and see if there is anything wrong with the disc drive. Thanks again. Maybe there is still hope!

So you tried with usb and sd card already? That's bad. What error are you getting exactly? If it's a disc or drive problem, it should be something like unrecovered read error, or something about seek. I got lucky with one of those once, and it ripped correctly on the 4th try, another disc was not so lucky.

I had actually only tried my flash drive the first few times, but it worked with the SD card! I just want to say, thank you so much for helping me, mimimi! It seems that it was only my flash drive and now the problem is solved. This is my first time using an emulator and setting things up, so I was getting very disheartened when things went wrong and my research hit dead ends. I just wanted to let you know that you made my day! Once again, thank you!
