I have a problem in Pikmin 2

After I recivie the email from the president (after I press A and it fades into black), the emulator fps freezes and nothing more happens. No errors, nothing. Just a black screen.

What could be wrong?

Pikmin 2 has a core issue, for reasons no one has discovered it crashes at the "map" screen, which pops up right after every level. You should discover that it saved, and shows the save data in the save select screen, but will now crash after showing sometimes a bit of fade in on the map screen, etc. It's a known issue, in other words there's no current fix for it.
