Question
Hi, I'm Unity (yes that's my real name) and I'm brand new.

Let me get straight down to it and skip the pleasantries: I got Dolphin so I could play my Super Paper Mario game, but I'm having a problem with the cursor that I can't seem to fix. I'm using a Logitech Dual Action controller to emulate a wii controller and it works well as one. But while playing Super Paper Mario, as soon as I got Tippi, I found out that whenever my controller is idle, the cursor shows up which essentially freezes time to let me scan enemies. The ability to use the cursor with a technical knock-off playstation controller is wonderful, but I can't seem to find out how to toggle the cursor on and off. The closest I got was to hold down one of my unused buttons and it would disable the cursor, allowing me to play, but once it was released, the cursor would appear on screen again. I've searched the forums and researched other websites, but I couldn't find a solution to this issue.

If anyone is able to help me with this problem, that would be great.

I'm using Dolphin 3.5-367 on Mac OS X Mavericks, MacBook Pro 17" i7 2.6 GHz, 16GB RAM.

Thank you.

(P.S. I'm actually surprised I was able to snag the "unity" username!)

Get the latest dev build. From THIS website, not that fake real one.

Ah ok thanks. Well good news and bad news.

Good news is I have the full textures that weren't working before, so thank you.

Bad news is that I'm still having that problem. It seems like the cursor is always active, but I can't find a way to permanently toggle it on/off.

No no, it's not the mouse cursor I'm talking about. I'm talking about the IR cursor for the wii remote. The cursor keeps appearing on screen.

While you are binding the inputs, in Emulated Wiimote settings, right click Show IR and use an ! to invert, so the cursor will show only when holding that button down, its the best approach I found when I played Super Paper Mario...

I looked for a "Show IR" button/option/dropdown all over but I couldn't find it?? I'm using dolphin on Mac OS X if that makes a difference.

Sorry, I meant "Hide". Even on Mac, it should be the same (look the attached screenshot). Right Click "Hide" (marked blue), the Advanced window will pop up (marked yellow). Here you can choose the "! NOT" (marked red) modifier, that will make the cursor show only while you are holding the button. If a controller is already binded, you can simply add an ! in the text box, then apply...
