I have dolphin set up on my 2010 iMac and it works great, no crashes or other bugs so far as I can tell. However...

No matter how many tips and tricks I try I just can't seem to get the cursor moving.

I tried using my keyboard, set up to several configurations I found posted here. The best I can do is get the cursor to move straight out to the sides and straight back into the middle on release of the button. There's no middle ground. I'm not posting all the configurations I tried, they can be found on the forum here.

Looked at using my mouse instead, not supported on Mac's, the best I can manage there is to get the cursor to move jerkily a cm or so and then straight back to the middle like the keyboard.

I have also tried iController, again everything works EXCEPT moving that elusive mouse cursor. Accelerometer mode results in the cursor moving, but its sporadic, jerky and only moves a little as well as being impossible to keep in one spot Tongue Using the trackpad on it doesn't work at all and yes I changed the appropriate inputs/settings as listed here on the forum.

Finally I gave in and bought a wiimote, the wii brand one with a wii brand sensor bar, not the third party brands. It connects to my bluetooth ok, but getting it to connect in dolphin is another matter. I spam the 1+2 buttons while clicking refresh and if I am lucky it'll connect, if I'm even luckier it'll actually work after connecting. Most of the time it vibrates and then just keeps flashing the lights. It can take me an hour of fiddling, disconnecting, reconnecting, playing with my bluetooth prefs until the cows come home etc to finally get it to work. And then it works great! For five or ten minutes... then it disconnects and the process starts again. It's not the batteries either, I have tonnes of those.

If it helps I've tried the current stable 3.0 release, I've tried the newer builds and I have reverted to older builds that threads here suggested work. Each time I've run appcleaner to make sure it is completely gone.

I'm not totally computer ignorant, I've tried all the advice I could find here. I used to have a wii but gave it to my sister as I hardly used it, but with recent stressful events in my life I have felt like I needed my fav game, Endless Ocean as a little escape. It's really not worth splashing out $300 for another wii console but its also not worth all this hassle. What am I doing wrong?

Thank you for reading my post of epic proportions Tongue

1. mouse cursor is not supported in newer revisions... try an older like rev6505
2. i dont like mac's
3. i dont know nothing about a genuine wiimote with sensorbar so i guess your are using a thirdparty wiimote with usb sensorbar?... would explaing the disconnects
4. try the newest revision and enable "alternative wiimote timing" could solve the disconnecting problem but that barley works with thirdparty ones
EDIT by neobrain: that pic was kinda annoying..
EDIT by dannzen: don't fuck with my sig Dodgy
EDIT by neobrain: yet, I will keep doing it Tongue

1) Thank you will try that now.
2) Macs are awesome.
3) It is the wii branded wiimote from the video games store, and wireless sensor bar (ok not sure if the sensor bar is genuine but it works).
4) Will try this as well, but the newer builds tend to crash a bit on Mac's.

Thank you for taking the time to respond Smile

Edit: I don't want to jinx my game, but the wiimote hasn't disconnected in half an hour on the latest build... *fingers crossed*

As far as I know, the OS X version of Dolphin never had proper mouse support.
I don't know where dannzen came up with revision 6505.

Boooo. Got my hopes up. :/

Does anyone know if anyone any -where- is working on an OS X version with mouse support? Or am I seriously out of luck?

Yup I haven't found anywhere that says mouse support on Macs actually happened. Also I don't have the wiimote+ It's just a plain old, nothing special wiimote Tongue I'm going to try it out again soon on the latest build and see how long it'll stay connected for. I only had 40 minutes to test it last night, but early impressions were good.

Well three hours of playing and not a hitch, dannzen, you sir, are a genius. Thank you!

Hi there im new to this Forum and i recently discoverd dolphin.

im using a 27 inch imac mid 2010. ( high specs) see my profile.

Like many others before me i baught also the following:

- 1 x Konig Sensor bar.
- 1x Nintendo ( official) Wiimote motion +
- 1x Nunchuck Nintendo official.

Here is the steps i took to get it to work. I tried a couple of times but here goes.

First things first: Dont bother with the 1+2 buttons. Look for a red button at the bottom of your controller near the batteries.

Step 1: Remove your current build remove everything ( i use a program for that called " Cleanapp ". So you can Fresh install the new build. im using 3. 645

Step 2: Dont start the program yet. First Connect it with bluetooth. Go to system settings -> Add bluetooth device ->Hold the 1 + 2 button --> when you get a error go to settings and choose not to use a password and continu. So here was the first problem i got. After a few seconds it disconnected. I got a bit frustrated. Still do this step Smile

Step 3: Start up dolphin: Got to wiimote, Got to your Wiimote and press the little button at the bottom << if you dont have the red button at the bottom you dont have the official WIImote i guess? ( dont know for sure) anyways Press the red button and hit refresh! At that moment my four lights hits to 1 and i got a rumble feeling. Now its set up without any disconnection. I dont know if you do need to do step 2 first but this worked for me. Try it a couple of times. I can happen that you first have to refresh and then hit the red button ( or hold it) you have to play with it. It works for me now i know how i dont have any problems.

Tip: At wiimote tab you can set where you have your sensorbar at the top or bottom. I set it at bottom. because its under my mac.

I played zelda skyward sword without any problems or movement problems. Everthing is working perfect. Also with other games.

I hope this helps some ppl with a mac.
