I have dolphin set up on my 2010 iMac and it works great, no crashes or other bugs so far as I can tell. However...
No matter how many tips and tricks I try I just can't seem to get the cursor moving.
I tried using my keyboard, set up to several configurations I found posted here. The best I can do is get the cursor to move straight out to the sides and straight back into the middle on release of the button. There's no middle ground. I'm not posting all the configurations I tried, they can be found on the forum here.
Looked at using my mouse instead, not supported on Mac's, the best I can manage there is to get the cursor to move jerkily a cm or so and then straight back to the middle like the keyboard.
I have also tried iController, again everything works EXCEPT moving that elusive mouse cursor. Accelerometer mode results in the cursor moving, but its sporadic, jerky and only moves a little as well as being impossible to keep in one spot Using the trackpad on it doesn't work at all and yes I changed the appropriate inputs/settings as listed here on the forum.
Finally I gave in and bought a wiimote, the wii brand one with a wii brand sensor bar, not the third party brands. It connects to my bluetooth ok, but getting it to connect in dolphin is another matter. I spam the 1+2 buttons while clicking refresh and if I am lucky it'll connect, if I'm even luckier it'll actually work after connecting. Most of the time it vibrates and then just keeps flashing the lights. It can take me an hour of fiddling, disconnecting, reconnecting, playing with my bluetooth prefs until the cows come home etc to finally get it to work. And then it works great! For five or ten minutes... then it disconnects and the process starts again. It's not the batteries either, I have tonnes of those.
If it helps I've tried the current stable 3.0 release, I've tried the newer builds and I have reverted to older builds that threads here suggested work. Each time I've run appcleaner to make sure it is completely gone.
I'm not totally computer ignorant, I've tried all the advice I could find here. I used to have a wii but gave it to my sister as I hardly used it, but with recent stressful events in my life I have felt like I needed my fav game, Endless Ocean as a little escape. It's really not worth splashing out $300 for another wii console but its also not worth all this hassle. What am I doing wrong?
Thank you for reading my post of epic proportions
