Got a really good deal on newegg for a mechanical keyboard for half the rrp.

It has cherry reds and is considered a gaming keyboard, however I don't really game too much and when I do I use an xbox controller.

I'm finding it really hard to type on. No initial resistance bump like with rubber dome keyboard (which i knew before buying). Am I just not giving it enough time?

I feel my problem is I knock the keys really easy and I'm typing random letters all over the place, with the cheapy rubber dome keyboards this was never an issue because they require a much higher amount of force initally. Would I be better off with browns? I don't think I could handle the blues and there crazy clicking.

I personally don't understand how noise can be an issue to anyone. Only you can answer that question. This should help though: http://www.wasdkeyboards.com/index.php/wasd-sampler-kit.html#ad-image-0

I've got reds, and even the noise from these are annoying to me. Yay for headphones blocking on the sound though.

I wasn't referring to the sound when I said "crazy clicking" I was referring to how they work.

I'm starting to get used to the reds a lot more now so I guess I'll see, wish I knew someone with browns so I could give it a try.

Oh $6 for 4 switches without they keys? That's a pretty good deal actually.

I got the 4 switches in the mail today. I think my problem is I'm not used to the lack of high initial resistance which non of the switches offer. Maybe I should have gone with the blues or browns but I think I'd still be having the same issue anyway.

Just got my logitech G710+ today (MX browns). It does still feel a bit weird. And I'm typing slower which indicates that I need some more time to adjust to it. Overall I do like it better than my old keyboard so far but not by as much as I had thought I would. It's better but not a night and day difference. I'll be ordering that sampler kit soon to see if I should replace the keys.

Why would you buy switches that are optimized for gaming instead of typing? How much PC gaming do you do?

Makes sense, if you want to buy two keyboards.

Longer lifespan , rapidfire according to Razer . It's mechanical keyboard , it's better than membrane keyboard and that is ok for me
Green color is a must because Green wavelength is not too short , not too long either . It should be the most comfortable color for your eyes . This is scientific reason
