Hello all,
My issue has been a long standing one. I've been using Dolphin for quite a while now. My wired Xbox 360 controller used to work perfectly with Dolphin until about December of 2011. I tried to play it one night, and I could not get Dolphin to recognize the controller, so I gave up.
Here am I now 10 months later wanting to play some gamecube games on Dolphin. So I go and download the newest x64 revision (3.0-787) and hope to fix the problem. My computer does recognize the Xbox 360 controller and so does Dolphin. Dolphin also allows me to map the controller buttons in the gamecube controller menu. However, once I get in game, nothing works. I can press every button on the controller and I can never get past the title screen.
Why is Dolphin able to see the controller and even map the buttons to it, but then not use it once I actually start a game up. I'm only using the gamecube portion of the emulator, so this has nothing to do with a Wiimote. I've included my gamepad settings below.
