So, I've been trying for ages to get my mouse to allow me to look around in-game similar to how a wiimote does in Fatal Frame IV. But, other than the buttons working correctly when I click, I can't actually get Dolphin to track my mouse movement for purposes of wiimote emulation.

I've tried for hours to get this to work. Currrently, I've right clicked every "Point" option under Motion Simulation, right-clicked each and changed the character mapping to "Cursor" instead of "Axis", and a mess of other things. There isn't even an "IR" section under motion simulation like I've seen in similar troubleshooting threads I've attempted to research.

Please help! Even if I can just change it so that a dualshock 4 functions as a wiimote with its right joystick, I will be happy. I'm currently using Dolphin 5.0-12247. Screenshot of my wiimote controller settings for motion simulation included.

Have you tried enabling "Relative Input"? Does a pointer appear on screen at all?

I just tried enabling that option, and it doesn't appear to have any effect. There's now a trailing red dot on the calibration section, but it doesn't appear to actually allow me to use the mouse to look around in-game.

Default settings provide mouse controlled Wii remote pointing.
Click the "Default" button on the top of the emulated Wii remote configuration.

Alternatively upload your "WiimoteNew.ini" or show a screenshot of all other tabs so I can determine what has been done wrong.

Here are both; screenshots of each tab on the Wiimote config section and my .ini file is pasted below (Looks like I can't upload it in the reply). I created a completely separate controller profile named "Default" just to make sure it started from square one and it still isn't letting me use my mouse to look around in Fatal Frame.

Thank you both for your troubleshooting assistance so far.

What makes you think pointing the Wii remote lets you look around in Fatal Frame 4?
My googling tells me this is not how the game is played.

In fact, another Dolphin forum post appears to have a similar issue, and specifically stated IR was a problem. Not sure about the solution posted, though, or how to go about trying it: https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-wii-zero-tsukihami-no-kamen-aka-fatal-frame-iv-aka-project-zero-iv?page=3

FYI, "IR" changed to the more appropriate name, "Point".

Are you in "viewfinder mode"?
That control scheme sounds like tilting the remote up and down moves the camera. (left and right still controlled by the Nunchuk)

Perhaps the game is expecting more of a tilt than what the default "Point" settings provide (The "Total Yaw" setting of 15 degrees).
You could try increasing "Total Yaw" to something more extreme, like 160.
Or you could bind something to Tilt's Up/Down.

It looks like Tilt Foward/Backward was what I needed to do. When I set it to keys on the keyboard, it let me look up and down in viewfinder mode. I tried it with the mouse axis, and while that also works, it's very wonky, so I may just try and incorporate it into my keyboard controls similar to movement.

I should be able to play around with it from here. Thanks for the tip.
