I'm sorry, where is that option? I'm not seeing it. Is it within Dolphin or Nvidia's control panel?

In Dolphin, under Graphics > Hacks, there is a slider for it. Move it to the left.
Desktop:
OS: Windows 7 64 bit
CPU: Intel Core i5 3570K @ 4.4 GHz
GPU: EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti (Factory OC'ed)
RAM: 16 GB @ 1600 MHz
Dolphin Revision:3.0, 3.0-784, 3.5, latest 3.5

Nope, still nothing...Guess i have to keep looking. I wish they didn't insist on putting in integrated GPUs in gaming laptops...

As in you didn't find the setting or it didn't work?

The integrateD GPU isn't your problem in this case. No iGPU could ever do 3x IR. The problem rests solely on your 680m.

i got it to work! All I had to do was exit Dolphin and go back in. I feel like an idiot. Thanks guys!

I'm running it now in the Bionis knee at 4X IR, and it's freaking smooth as butter! (Hugs my 680m)

The best Intel iGPU (HD 4000) can barely run in 1x IR. Unless your iGPU has a seriously intense overclock and upgrade over the standard version, there is no way it could run 3x IR at full speed.

I still think the problem is simply that your 680m isn't leaving idle state for 4x IR for whatever reason. Usually, moving texcache to the left (or all the way to the left) will fix the issue. If it didn't for you, then we will have to explore other options.
Good to hear it works Smile

I know the 680M isn't as powerful as its desktop counterpart, but it's a freaking damn strong GPU on its own, and I knew it shouldn't have been struggling as I thought it was. When I finally saw the option to choose my 680M come up in Dolphin I was so relieved. thank you both for your patience, this board is awesome Smile

Nvidia GTX 680M (laptop) ~ Nvidia GTX 670 (desktop)
Quote:High end mobile graphics chips have classically suffered in two ways: performance and power. Performance never approaches that of desktop GPUs while power consumption results in short battery life and overheated systems.

Nvidia's solution to these problems is the GTX 680M. As with previous mobile GPUs, the GTX 680M doesn’t offer similar specs as the desktop version, but the 680M comes close. It’s similar in architecture to the desktop GTX 670, offering 1,344 graphics compute cores and a 256-bit memory bus. Clock speeds will vary by system design, but the top frequency noted by Nvidia is 720MHz, lower than the 915MHz of its desktop cousin. The memory bandwidth is considerably lower, however, rated at 115GB/sec versus the 192GB/sec of the desktop GTX 670.

I would think the big drop in bandwidth could have an effect, but its nice to know that there has been serious progress in this area. Thanks.
