When does it happen for you? What build are you using? What graphics backend?

What's the best dolphin revision to play this on? The latest dev build (4.0-1769 is what I tried) is waaay too slow (8fps on hyrule field WITH the code given on pg69, this is DXD11 though - openGL is suprisingly fine @ 23-27fps on hyrule field) but 4.0.2 has a really buggy HLE (and LLE only runs at 25fps on my computer, LLE on thread locks up the game in 10-20 seconds) - even though seeing hyrule field at 26FPS on that is great. Is there a version in-between that has either a fixed (or better, ie. music works in cutscenes, wolf howling isn't incredibly loud, hyrule field music isn't glitchy and very loud & the sound of text scrolling isn't a bit poppy (i'm not on openAL, it's not that)) HLE or a version that would have a fast enough LLE to run on this processor? Thank you very much for those codes, they have helped 4.0.2 a lot for me - it's just these minor annoyances as I've described. I should add that the HLE on the latest revisions seems to be fine so far (I haven't properly tried it out yet though.) Also, is there any point having both that code and the ZTP hack on? I'm on Wii PAL by the way (will be using gamecube PAL as well).

Additionally, would OCing that i7 to around 4.0GHz - 4.2GHz make any significant performance increase to be worth it?

I am using the current dev build and skids patch codes. I went from 17 FPS to 30 FPS, even with LLE at 4x IR

Your CPU is slower than haddock´s, you´ll probably won´t cut it even with the patch.

This code lets me run hyrule field at 30FPS... on the latest development build. Thank you so much! Big Grin
I'm interested - what addition to that code fixes the slowdown completely?

tbh, I don't know. I've just added what I was told: https://code.google.com/p/dolphin-emu/issues/detail?id=2499#c48
