Hyrule Field Slowdown Observation

To avoid any confusion my issue is that while the hack is enabled I cannot even start the game. I can boot the game otherwise and have beaten it on older faster revisions. I assume those others that can boot the game with the patch but still have major slowdowns are experiencing a different problem than me.

What region/console/version of the game/dolphin revision/system?

USA/Wii/not sure but 1.0 I believe/4.0-1949/windows 7, gtx670, I5 2500k@ 4.4gz

PAL version of the game starts just fine with the hack but I prefer to use my own discs.
