I don't know whether it's allowed to ask support for a HD texture pack or not..? But I'm just gonna try Smile

I gave the Hypatia high res. texture pack a try, but there's lots of stuttering going on: even more like little pauses than actual stuttering. Link to texturepack & info: http://onthegreatsea.tumblr.com/
It loads just fine and it looks great though.

Settings (ini):

My GPU en CPU load aren't thát high, temps are good. Even when lowering the IR there's still stuttering going on (for example when looking around).

Can this be solved? Is it because of "SafeTextureCacheColorSamples = 0"? Which is needed for the pack to work in the first place (stated in the the readme)..

- I use Dolphin 4.0-1816
- Framelimiter is set to auto
- D3D backend produces the same results; also tried it with vsync on/off

There's work being done to make custom textures perform better by two separate branches. You'll probably have to wait on one of the systems to be merged in to see a big performance boost with custom textures.

Thanks JMC, I'll do that.

For now I just use the high-res HUD textures, it looks a lot better (the Xbox360 pad config layout is really nice & less confusing!) and causes no slowdowns. So it's really the texture-streaming which seems to be causing the stuttering/skipping (obviously).
