Hybrid wiimote+ snapping to middle

Hello, I am trying to play Zelda SS, I lack a sensor bar but otherwise have the wiimote+ and nunchuck.

Now to get past the start where I need to click many people suggest to use Hybrid mode, this gets me past that part where I have to point at the screen.

However it then causes an issue that when that is there the wiimote+ movement constantly snaps back to the middle of the screen making it impossible to play.

I have a suspicion that it might be due to the IR being now in the 'middle of the screen' and not moving, at least on the emulated hybrid portion.

Anyone else encountered this or have an idea on how to deal with it?

Thanks!

This won't help you but you should really get a sensor bar for this game (or use candles or any other lightspots source). No more IR issue for you

Use the default "Cursor" mappings of IR.

He probably did and that didn't work. That's why he tried Hybrid Wiimote.
I noticed this kind of issue in Zelda SS and games using Motion Plus if your sensor bar is off (Toshiba stack used here). EVEN with official Wiimotes and non-TR ones

Perhaps he can use the "Hide" button under "IR".
Right click the "Hide" button and set it to !Button (note the !) to make it hide when not pressing some button.
