Managed to find my old original wiimote with plus addon in my storage room, so thought what the hell, let's try it out with Dolphin!

Connects in a snap, huge difference from the hassle you need to go through to get the new wiimote plus controllers set up.

Since I mostly use a gamepad for all my configs didn't want to mess around with things and decided to switch to hybrid mode.

THE PROBLEM
Noticed that the IR pointer does not move on screen when hybrid mode is enabled. My guess is that since IR motion is mapped to the mouse, and the mouse is not moving, Dolphin ignores the actual wiimote ir.

Any way to get real IR wiimote motion in hybrid mode? If this has been answered before I apologise, I've spent the last hour scouring the forums but had no luck finding a similiar thread.

I experienced, with hybrid mode, that when using the mouse as IR pointer, the pointer snaps back to the middle of the screen after every movement. So I just bought a 2$ wireless sensor bar instead, which works amazingly Smile

I have a sensor bar Smile
I'm facing a different problem: In hybrid mode, mouse works fine but the actual wiimote doesn't work. Pointing the wiimote at the screen brings up the pointer, but I can't move it. It stays stuck in position :/

just to clarify: everything works fine in Real Wiimote mode. I am interested in Hybrid mode because I play most games with an xbox 360 controller - it would be a huge hassle to have to switch between these modes every other game...

Yeah, you're going to have to click that extra option for each game. Alternatively, if you truely are that lazy, have two copies of dolphin on your computer, and use one for emulated controlls, and one for real ones.

crap. I already have 12 copies of dolphin for wii and 8 for gamecube!

another reason I need hybrid mode:
I have a disability in my right arm so can't use a nunchuck. In games like No More Heroes, I would need to use keyboard keys or nudge one analogue stick on a gamepad laying flat on a table to be able to play the game with a wiimote.

Sorry if my disability is a sign of laziness!
