Huge Slowdown after undervolting GPU

Hi everybody

I just undervolted my Nvidia GT525m using a dell l502x bios mod (from 0.95v to 0.85v) so that I could push the overclock up a few notches (stable at GT550m speeds, 25% above normal, 62C). However when I opened dolphin up again after the reboot everything ran about half as fast as it used to, regardless of my GPU clock settings.

SSBM used to do 95-100% and went down to 45-50% and Red steel 2 used to manage 60-95% but it went down to 30-45%. The weird part is none of the games, even really light efforts like sunshine, seem to make it to 100% with the modded BIOS even though stress tests like kombustion run as normal.

I've since reflashed the BIOS back to standard for my Dell L502x to fix the problem and as far as I can tell I'm the only one who's experienced this slowdown.

Does anyone know what is going on?

(I'm running dolphin 3.0-721 off my dell XPS 15 with 4gb 1333ram and an i7-2670QM)

It's to lower the running temp, afaik as long as it's not too low (this mod was well tested) it shouldn't effect anything but the temperature until you start to go for a really high OC

I'm using Nvidia Inspector to overclock
If the 540M overheats , the "Current Clock" will go down to 202MHz ->slowdown

you dont undervolt to get higher clock speeds, you shouldnt need to overvolt anything, and if you do, your still bottlenecked by the fact that your gpu can only get maybe 900mhz anyway

Intel core i7 2600k 4.3GHz corsair h100: gigabyte windforce x3 GTX 670 2gb 1150MHz
OCZ 750watt PSU : 4X4 16GB G skill ripjaws DDR3 1600mhz ram
NZXT Phantom red : ASUS p8z77 - v Pro
500GB western digital green : 64GB samsung 470 SSD :250GB HDD
47" LG 3D passive TV
