I think will run better than galaxy s7
the Kirin 950 comes with two sets of ARM’s Cortex A53 and A72 cores, clocked at 1.8 and 2.53GHz respectively + Mali GPU T880 05-27-2016, 08:55 AM

A72's get hammered by the Kyro cores, and to boot the adreno drivers are faster by a bit (plus Qualcomm seems to be ATTEMPTING to improve, whereas Mali is a bit off the rails). Combined with the recent ES 3.2 speed up, and it's pretty clear that the Mate 8 isn't so competitive. That isn't to say the Mate 8 is bad, in fact the Kirin 950 is excellent in real world usage. Gaming performance isn't so great due to the Mali GPU being a conservative MP4 setup, but power usage is excellent and the CPU is still excellent for general android applications.
well for gaming and daily usage i have an iphone 6S jalibroken iOS 9.0.2 and for emulators like dolphin, drastic my galaxy S6 + other things.
but I confess that I am getting along better with android, there is always something new. 05-27-2016, 03:10 PM
Wait, I'm a bit confused. Just a couple months ago adreno was total crap and Mali was only somewhat crap. Has this changed? Is it expected to stay this way of can it change at the drop of a hat?
A bit off topic but is the mate 8 actually good for general usage? I've been a bit doubtful of brands like xiaomi and huawei and how well their phones are made, but next upgrade I was thinking about giving one of them a go.
Just wait for new phones with android N.
For now only the nexus 5X have the new Adreno driver with ES3.2 support. 05-27-2016, 03:52 PM
Adreno got a nice performance up when the Nexus 5x released an ES 3.2 driver on Android N preview as well as the extra extension Dolphin needs which I cannot remember the name of.
