That's what I figured. Our Amp / Receiver should be able to handle that, since I've used it in the same manner for SD equipment.

I'll have to try this out myself of I can Tongue the only game I have using surround sound right now is Wind Waker (it relies on an amp/receiver to output surround I believe because the GameCube only had stereo sound). I'll try out a Wii game and see what happens.
Desktop:
OS: Windows 7 64 bit
CPU: Intel Core i5 3570K @ 4.4 GHz
GPU: EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti (Factory OC'ed)
RAM: 16 GB @ 1600 MHz
Dolphin Revision:3.0, 3.0-784, 3.5, latest 3.5

Thanks mate, I can live without it but if it will work then I'll just be all the more excited to finish the build :p

Double Post Update!

I totally forgot my internship gives me a nice bonus at the end. So, I used the opprotunity to get the rest of the parts ordered.

Here's my final parts list:

Case: Lian-Li -PC-C33B
PSU: PC Power and Cooling Silencer 600W Modular PSU
Motherboard: Asus P8Z77-M (Not pro, saved like 50$)
Processor: i5-3570k
Ram: G-SKILL ARES 8GB DDR3 1866
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 660ti
Cooler: Noctua SE14
Drives: ASUS Black Blu-Ray, Corsair Force GT 240GB SSD, Seagate Barracuda 3TB 7200 RPM HDD

Yeah, I think this will run Dolphin well enough :p

Oh yeah. I'm confident the setup should hit at least 4.2GHz without the noise being too much for the living room :p
Noctua coolers are excellent, and if I can get 4.3GHz on my i5-2500k with a CM Hyper Evo 212, I should be able to hit 4.2GHz on the i5-3750k.

Also I plan to show build pics and such later. I'm such a geek when it comes to that. Big Grin

Update!

Got it all built, it all fits very smoothly (but took some clever work) into the Lian-Li PC-C338. OH MY LORD THE NOCTUA COOLER IS SO FLIPPIN' QUIET IT'S AMAZING. Even overclocked to 4.3/4.4 GHz, the processor doesn't go about 60 at load, and it's whisper quiet. Can't hear it from it's spot on the shelf next to the TV.

Now I just need to get dolphin configured :p

I do believe the surround sound works with LLE Tongue I'll have to enable that in all my games now.
