Consumers are dumb. They won't accept "it depends" as an answer even though it's the correct answer. So these companies have to make up a meaningless magic number to slap on the box. The power supply requirement listed on the box is estimate based on what they consider a "typical PC" with "average parts". It's really oriented more towards high end gaming PCs though and is extremely conservative. Use a power calculator instead to calculate your power requirements.

Yeah, older cards (4 years+) don't suport sound through HDMI.
Also, I must agree, Nvidia have much better drivers in terms of Dolphin performance.
But some people prefer AMD and I want to keep my bases covered.
