This is about the Forum, but I thought it'd fit here
I was trying to insert some html code into the Translation guide but it doesn't seem to understand simple things like <br> tags and href statements, still we use html codes for maiking things bold and etc...

I'm not a html coder, I just usually can play myself around it, so I could be saying some big bullshit here, can anyone help?

MyBB isn't compatible with HTML I think, you can only use BBCode or PHP.

PCSX2 Forums are MyBB as well yet they can use HTML. Actually there is where I got the idea from, when I was translating the Guide to Portuguese. I even tried copying the whole guide code and placing on a post here, and yeah the html doesn't work.

This sucks a lot.

Raw HTML is usually disabled on most forums or at least allowed to be parsed by trusted user groups as it poses a major security risk.

Meh, sounds like paranoid bullshit to me Xtreme, no offense. I hate when usability is sacrificed in favor of security. I mean, what the worst they could do?
You're right, only Translators (like me) on PCSX2 Forums can do that.

Oh well, anyways, so no raw HTML for guide making this time around? Nothing special, it's just that it's very cool.. I was trying to add links and shortucts leading to other parts of the guide.

It's not being paranoid, it's actually recommended to disable the ability to post raw html. Imagine if someone posts an iframe to a malicious website, or posts code to a malicious java applet or posts another malicious script etc.. anyone who opens that thread would get infected. I believe it could also open a backdoor allowing the forum to be exploited by hackers if anyone is allowed to post raw html.
