OK so the dump finished earlier than expected (the last two days, he speeded up to 83 MB/h)... and unfortunately, that didn't work. All that friidump gave me was an unreadable 7.92 GB ISO file, Dolphin wasn't able to read that...
I might want to retry that with GCN discs, unfortunately they are all at my brother's atm, so that will be for another time... MSI Desktop: Intel Core i7-9700K 3.6 GHz/4.7 GHz, 32 Go DDR4, NVidia GeForce RTX 2080, 512 Go SSD + 2 To HDD, Windows 10 Professional x64 Insider Preview (Slow Ring)... and of course latest Dolphin x64 development build! 08-15-2018, 12:43 AM
This method is essentially abandoned. It's a lot easier, and about the same price to get a used wii and use CleanRip

Working on dumping some of my library with friidump. I'm on SSB:B right now. I have the dual layer version. Friidump gets to the end of the first layer and them fails, leaving me with half a dump. I have tried using friidump's resume partial dump feature but that did not work. Does anyone know what to do in this instance?
Where can I find firmware 007 for gdr8082n?

Maybe your AV flagged it incorrectly? At any rate, Friidump was the alternative, if I recall correctly, if you absolutely must use one of these old drives instead of a Wii.

It's a false positive. I've used RawDump 2.1 before, and it works fine. Friidump also works, but it's more touchy than RawDump is.
