That's basically what you have to do, but in my experience Friidump is a lot more picky than Rawdump. Unless your disc is in perfect condition, i.e. zero scratches, Friidump is probably going to fail at some point during the rip, and since its resume function doesn't work, you have to start the rip over from the beginning. Setting a slower dump speed helps to prevent errors, but it also makes dumping take far longer. Also note that you may need to open Windows Explorer to make the drive visible to the system; if it doesn't appear in your list of drives, then Friidump will automatically fail.

My drive the "hp DVDRAM GT30L ATA" seems not to work.
I also noticed that most dvdram drives have tended not to work. Your link to RawDump is dead, please update it to... http://filetrip.net/wii-downloads/other-...f1609.html 09-01-2016, 12:57 AM

My LG GDR8162B0015 does work well on GC and single layer Wii Games (2500MB/sec). But with dual layer (tested with Smash Bothers Brawl) Wii discs the software crashes everytime. Did have anyone had successfully ripped a dual layer disc with that drive ?

Which software are you using? AFAIK you can only only dump dual-layer games with Friidump. Rawdump says it can rip dual-layer games, but it doesn't actually work.

Just wanted to know if using Rawdump on my GameCube discs will render the discs useless. Will I still be able to use the disc after dumping it or not?
Thanks 12-17-2016, 04:33 AM
So the disc will still be useable, and the data will be on my computer to use for Dolphin?
