The sound will stutter with both HLE and LLE if you can't run the game full-speed.
HLE is enough for most games. HLE was "fixed" for 95% of games recently (new AX-HLE by delroth). LLE is still needed for some games though.
One last thing: LLE is a bit more demanding than HLE. Your system has to be very beefy
