I'm planning to get dolphin and and get a wii remote but before I do i want to know how well I will be able to run it. I'm sure you guys with your knowledge will be able to tell me if my computer will be able to run dolphin well.

The resolution I would like to run at is 1920x1080
CPU: AMD Phenom II 955 BE 3.2ghz
GPU: ATI 4870x2
Ram:Corsair 4GB 1600mhz DDR3

I just want to play games like mario cart and Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I am considering overclocking my cpu.

I hope you guys can help.

P.S after looking around I found that only 1 controller can be connect but the posts were really old, has that been updated?

it a good cpu for mario kart wii i got 965 and it ok depend of revision some go slow because the work on it find a good one and oc till 3.8 give you a speed up able to get max speed in many games

you can play with more that one remote if you play games that dont need ir pointer if yes you will need only wii remote will be ok and before asking you have to press f6 to add second player

if you need ir pointer you will need sensor bar

It will run most games well at 1080p. I few heavier games like SMG/SMG2 can't be run at fullspeed on anything but a heavily overclocked i7 but other than that you'll be fine.

You can try out dolphin without a remote.. several games can be played with the keyboard and mouse or other gamepads.
