Hm, there are better choices for laptops if you´re looking to spend 1K.
If you *really* need a MacBook for some reason, you may want to have a Windows 10 installation using Boot Camp so you don´t have to deal with Apple's deprecated GL implementation.
Make sure you also play with it on a freezer or something really cool so the CPU can keep the boost clocks. That 1.1 GHz base clock speed is not good at all and you don't want to hit it during gameplay.
