Also, from what I understand, even if I can't emulate Wii well I may still be able to emulate Gamecube well?

Specs
Operating System: Windows Vista 64-bit
Processor/CPU: Intel core i5-2450M @2.5 GHz (4 CPUs)
Video Card/GPU: Nvidia Geforce 525M
Memory/RAM: 8GB
Dolphin Revision Currently Using: 3.0-592

Greetings Lotus,

It does not matter if it's a Wii or Gamecube game; both have very demanding games.

Your laptop looks adequate enough to play some Wii games and Gamecube games relatively well.
Due to your middle-low end GPU, you can only have up to x1~1.5 IR, and x2 IR at times.

Which games are you intending to play?

I was thinking of trying Wind Waker.

I made this topic because after installing dolphin whenever I try to load the game from disc Dolphin just locks up, and I was thinking my laptop was just too weak to do anything.

Your PC should handle windwaker well, are you trying to run the game from a cd? you should try dumping it to a .iso format
......?????
