Hi everyone,

First off I want to say thanks to this fourm, it's already helped me quite a bit. I know each game has different specs, but I was wondering how well my laptop will run games on average.

Specs:
Windows 7 x64
Intel Core i5 M 460 @ 2.53 GHz (Dual core, 4 threads)
4.00 GB DDR3 ram (I think it's DDR 3, I have no idea how to check...)
NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M 3Gb (1gb dedicated)

Thanks for the help, and if you need any more info, just let me know

It depends on which games you're willing to play. Some games are more demanding than others.
IMO your specs are OK, but I think you won't be able to run some games at full speed (Twilight Princess, SMG...)
Arch Linux
Core i5 2400
4 GB DDR3
ATi Radeon HD6870

I'm sorry, but on this scale I see the A8-3850 being more powerful than the i5-2400, which is simply false.

Also my laptop's CPU is supposedly more powerful than a 2500k. As for the OP, most games will be playable, NSMB Wii will likely be fullspeed. However, SMG/2 will not go well and neither will Hyrule Field on TP.
Main Laptop:
Dell XPS 17
i7 2720QM @ 2.2GHz
8GB DDR3 RAM
Nvidia GeForce GT 555M
Windows 7 64-bit

Thanks for the quick reply. I have a question then, I've been trying to play Megaman 9 and Fatal Frame 4, they work but every few minutes, no matter what is going on FPS/speed drop 50%. Any idea why this is?
