You can use a hotkey in Dolphin to send a sync command.

It's more fun to have a real button, though.

Guys do you have test this Wii BT adapter with mame, Teknoparrot, etc? Excluding Wii games I'm wondering if it could reduce lag than other dongle for lightgun games.

Hi everyone

I wanted to thank you for all the useful information contained in this thread. Shy

After breaking my Mayflash Dolphin Bar, I easily managed to make my BT passtrough module fully functional, even with non-original controllers.

I purchased the following components on Aliexpress:
  • BT Wii module BCM2045A - € 1.76
  • step-down 5V --> 3.3V AMS1117 - € 0.98
  • little enclosure 36x36x15mm - € 1.9
I also bought a stupid sensor bar (only IR LEDs):
  • wii sensor bar with USB port type A - € 3.39
and I used an old USB printer's cable.

Attached the photos of the result.

Hey everyone,

I don't register accounts much anymore, but I wanted to share my results with you fine folk and express my gratitude.
I built me one of these adapters using the J27H002 and a generic 3.3v regulator. It works brilliantly on both Linux and Windows. Pretty much plug 'n play thanks to the great wiki.
The real test came a few days ago, when I connected 4 wiimotes to it for some multiplayer action with the kids. It worked flawlessly and they loved it, and I didn't have to carry around a Wii(U) + screen + speakers on our trip Angel

Thank you Shank, all wiki contributors/caretakers and Dolphin developers. You guys rock.

I also built such an adapter with a micro USB port in a Hammond 1551FTBU case. I'm satisfied with the mechanical result, but unfortunately I have problems connecting my Wiimotes (see https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-different-wiimote-behaviour-on-connection-attempt-1-2-vs-sync?pid=495792#pid495792).

If you're bothering with a board, wouldn't it have made more sense to use a cheaper not-on-its-own-board regulator?

That would also be possible, of course. But if you don't have the components on stock and prefer proper bypassing you won't be much cheaper than those 1.80€ incl. shipping. And you need more time and space for the discrete version.

I'm using a single-chip fixed-voltage regulator that cost 26 pence and includes its own capacitors and it's much smaller than that board, so I don't think it does use more time and space.
