Just wanted to give a heads up here that I will be increasing the cost on the Bluetooth Adapter in about 2 weeks, I made a post with a little more info here: https://www.abbiedoobie.com/2022/02/02/price-to-increase-on-bluetooth-adapter/

I know the price is already on the high side for a device like this, but it is very niche with a low order volume. The TLDR is just that all the costs have risen since I first put these on sale. Please feel free to reach out to me directly (contact@abbiedoobie.com), or reply here with any thoughts/concerns/questions.

Additional notes based on requests I've gotten:
> I'm hoping to offer an optional 3D printed case alongside the board sometime later this year, once I purchase a printer and get it all leveled.
> It would be awesome to include a Sensor Bar port, or USB passthrough power port, but this would require a new board. The Sensor Bar port would be especially tricky due to needing a voltage step-up from the USB standard 5V to 7~7.5V. Or an entirely different setup with USB-C PD or something of that nature. That gets tricky and would probably be cost prohibitive though.
Assembled & tested Bluetooth Passthrough boards are available on my site!

Hi,

I wrote to you more than once using the form on your site but I never received a reply.
At this point I try to write to you directly here.

Is it possible to have the adapter shipped to Italy?

Could you please kindly let me know if you have received my request?

Thank you.

Thank you.

Italy, along with numerous other EU areas, have now been added. I reconfigured shipping to make it more manageable in the future. I've also reached out directly with the info too.

Edit: I changed my mind and ordered a complete unit from you. Then as I was reading back through the history of the development of this adapter I discovered the links to the PCB and components, so now I'll have to try my hand at assembling one.

So total noob in electronic here.
Witch is the best regulator to use to the simple version of the project (regulator + usb + bluetooth module, without switch) ?
I don't want to fry something and i would like to keep the module plugin with a good lifespan.

Just a note, in case anyone comes across issues, the current version of dolphin (5.0-16793) is busted regarding bluetooth passthrough. Until it's resolved, downgrade to 5.0-16380.

Nothing like signing up to a forum and posting a message only to find a solution 3 seconds later after hours of trying :-).....

I just updated Dolphon to the Dev version (instead of beta) and it's now working!! Whoop!!!

Leaving msg anyway in case it helps someone else!

Hi. Looking for some help... I've wired my original Wii bluetooth model per the instructions (3.3 V regulator / USB cable, no sync switch).

Windows 11 instantly recognises the module when plugged in and downloads the default drivers. I can even use it in emulation mode with Dolphin.

However, I just can't get Passthrough to work (which was, after all, the whole point) :-(

I've installed libusbK through zadig-2.7 (with 'list all devices' set, BCM2045A shows up and the Replace Driver option works without any issues).

libusbK shows up in device manager and Dolphin doesn't throw any errors when starting a game (Bluetooth now set to passthrough of course).

When I try to sync it with Dolphin, nothing happens at all. The Wii remote (original Nintendo) just blinks away. I've tried with and without 'Connect Wii Remotes for emulated controllers' / 'continuous scanning', I've tried the reset and Sync buttons manually in Dolphin. I've tried to press and hold the red sync button on the controller, I've tried 1+2 on the controller., I've tried it on two different PCs.... nothing. I also tried shorting the pins per the hardware sync button and nothing happens.

Are there any original Wii modules that in fact don't work??? Mine seems to be the newer module with very small pads that were hidden under the sticker. It's the only thing I can think of that would be preventing it from working (aside from running Win 11). I assume the fact it works in emulator mode is a good sign my soldering is all fine (though I'll double check when I have my multimeter with me).

Any other ideas? I think there's one other person in this thread that seemed to have identical behaviour, but by all other accounts it should *just* work? :-(

In case anyone is interested, I finally got a 3D printer setup and have cases available too! They are based on Yodashut's design (credit where credit is due!) and I am offering them as an add-on for the board, and eventually standalone. You can also download the files and print them yourselves if interested!
