For pairings to be remembered, the BT Adapter must allow retrieving/uploading link keys to it. That's something not always guaranteed on 3rd party adapters, some outright don't support this, others have buggy support, and so on. The Wii BT Module definitely supports the feature and doesn't have this issue...

Still shipping Smile

Note that getting these out the door can be pretty slow however! I'm back into fulltime work as of summer, so sometimes there will be a week or two delay before I ship. I like to individually test each unit prior to sending them out, and often the only time I have for that is a lazy Sunday afternoon (like today!).

If you do need it in a hurry though, please feel free to reach out after ordering via the contact form, and I'll do my best to ship asap.

Additionally I have received some requests for more countries to be added. I'm investigating, but am hesitant for two reasons:
1. Shipping costs are increasing, and I don't want to increase shipping nor unit price. I feel the current costs are reasonable, but at this rate I may need to reevaluate soon.
2. I have had issues with items getting 'lost in the mail' when shipping outside the US/Canada. Each unit costs anywhere between $15 to $50 to ship outside the continent, at least with RELIABLE shipping (e.g. it shouldn't get broken). When I have to re-ship, I'm negative on that sale in total. Not a huge deal in the long run, but it does add up.
Assembled & tested Bluetooth Passthrough boards are available on my site!

Hi!

I'm planning on building this and I already have the bluetooth module but I bought 3.3v regulators with a maxium current output of 250mA (like these ones Regulator 1), is that enough? Should I buy another one with let's say 800mA of current output (like this Regulator 2)?

Thank you in advance!

i think it should be enough. i never measured the power usage but i'd doubt the module would pull that much current

Thanks for the response.

I've got another question related to the adapter. Can it be used to use Wii motes in other applications than Dolphin under Windows or should I buy a regular Bluetooth adapter for that?

I read that this adapter can't be used to connect, let's say, a PS3 or PS4 controller to the PC as it doesn't implement the whole stack but I didn't read anything related to my question.

Thanks in advance.

Once you install the libusbK driver to use with Dolphin's Bluetooth Passthrough mode, nothing else (except, perhaps, SCP Toolkit, which is ancient and shouldn't be used anyway) will be able to use the adapter. If you don't install the libusbK driver (or remove it after it has been already installed), Windows will recognize it as an ordinary Bluetooth 2.0 adapter...
