I've got a lot of experience with soldering. My only question though is what AWG wire should I use? Does it matter? I used 22 AWG to wire a usb port to the voltage regulator, but I'm still waiting on the bluetooth chip in the mail so I haven't wired that yet. I'm afraid 22 AWG might be too large based off people saying the chip pads are really small. Should I use smaller wire or is 22 AWG fine? Thanks!

i think anything is fine. its just data passing around and i doubt the power would be so high @ 3.3v that a small wire kills it. i also doubt you'd be making a cable that is > 1,5m ?
the power loss would be minimal too. i think a 20 or 28 AWG would be fiiiine

Are there any 3D printed cases available for DacoTaco's V3 board and would there be any difference if the unit has no case? I'm nervous about leaving it connected on my desk where I have some other electronics.

not that i know of (?).
i never designed the pcb's with enclosures or a case in mind.
however, all connections are exposed so in theory you could make your own if needed

I am interested in buying this Wii module. Will there be any benefits over using the Orico 403 module, which are very inexpensive. I am currently using the BT 4.0 CSR8510 A10 adapter with a lot of success. The only thing I don't like is that I often have to resync using the controller's internal red sync button. I have several original non-motion plus controllers and five third-party motion plus controllers.

I am currently using only Bluetooth Passthrough, with which all my third-party controllers work. Since this is the case, will the original Wii BT module allow me better functionality using "Emulate Wii's Bluetooth"? If the original Wii Bluetooth module will allow easier resyncing on subsequent reboots of both the PC and Dolphin without the necessity of depressing a controller's internal red sync button, I may pony up. I need to make this decision within the next few days to coordinate shipping.

What are the total dimensions of this board? If I buy it, I'd like to print a case for it.

I've been reading through this thread about issues with range for controller audio. How is the range for BT transmitted audio with this V3 module?

next time, edit your original post instead of making 3 posts.

either case, to awnser the questions in the best way i can :
- yes, v3 has increased range because of the antenna no longer being on top of a ground plane ( see above picture ). even when soldered on, it should have an increased range. in my tests it was about 2m of increased range.
- the dimensions are about 4x3.5cm for v3
- emulated wii's bluetooth is different from pass through and changing bluetooth adaptor won't change anything in how it works afaik. this module is meant for pass trough mode. sadly, i can't say why you need to resync once in a while, and i assume you will also need to do this with this module. maybe somebody else knows the details?

Could anyone offer some help with DacoTaco's V3 board? I cannot get Dolphin to recognize it. I have no other Bluetooth adaptors on my system. I’m running Windows 10 x64.

Nevermind, I deleted Dolphin.ini file in the config folder and got it working.

A user, Yodashut, reached out to me with a case they designed. If you are interested, I added a post about it (as well as including a link in the product page's description).
