Hi

I managed to get the adapter to work after installing libusbk with zadig.

What is weird is that after closing dolphin and running it again, the module does not work anymore until I do a restart of my PC.

Any idea what could be causing this?

Thanks

Unplug your module and plug it back in. If you force the emulator closed or have a crash it makes it so you can't connect until this is done. At least for me.
My current rig.

My BT board/module arrived today from Abbie Doobie. Initial testing went well. Finally have Wii-like accuracy with my remote. Huge thanks to Daco Taco, Abbie Doobie, and the Dolphin community for making this possible!

I have had 20 of DacoTaco's v2 board created, fully assembled (with connector). With assembly included, it was just a smidge more to get 20 versus the minimum of 5. So I figured why not ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

If you would like to purchase one, I am offering 18 of them for $50 each to anywhere in US ($40 for unit + $10 for shipping). WML-C43 included. If you are outside US but still want one, we can work out the shipping cost. Please PM me if you are interested. We can use Paypal or Venmo.

Each unit will be tested on my Windows machine before being sent out. Shipping will probably be slow, as I have a full time job, and mainly bought these for my emulation stations. I can't really offer a warranty on these, but I'll pack them up as well as possible for shipping.

I'm a newbie here on the Dolphin forum, but I've been using Dolphin on my emulation stations for years. I got these made after getting fed-up with alternative solutions for Wiimote connections that were subpar. I've kept DacoTaco informed on progress with these as well, and he is cool with me offering them for sale.

Hello! Is one still available? If so, I would like to order one. Thank you!

Hello, yes I still have many available. They are being picked up slow and steady (which works best for me honestly).

Please send me a PM, or email at contactabbiedoobie@gmail.com.

Thanks for the adapter! It works quite well. I was worried at first when it would stop syncing after closing and opening a new game. Came to this forum page to see that it appears to be common. I wonder if it's a driver issue or a dolphin issue? Either way, I hope it gets resolved. Until then, I'll just connect it to a hub with an on and off toggle.

Thanks again!

Hi all,

I created a new version of the Wii Bluetooth to USB adapter, which I have built and tested to confirm it works. The main differences from DacoTaco's version is my board is smaller, lacks pads to solder directly to test points on the Wii bluetooth module, and has an added pulldown resistor for the sync button. I also spec'd a much smaller linear regulator, as the one on DacoTaco's version is overkill.

For anyone who wants to make their own, I have posted the PCB project at Oshpark: (https://oshpark.com/shared_projects/vOrhO2HN). The Oshpark project description includes a link to a Digikey BOM for the required components. Note that Oshpark requires board orders in sets of 3, but the Digikey BOM only includes parts for 1 set; if you want three complete adapters, you will need to triple the BOM quantities.

For prices current as of this writing, total cost for parts for 3 complete adapter boards (PCBs plus electronics) is ~$11. This does not include the Wii Bluetooth module, which you have to source yourself (I ordered mine on ebay). I tested only with the J27H002 module, but either that or the WML-C43 should work fine.

There are some fine pitch components, so I suggest pliers, microscope, and a reflow oven for assembly.

Wow!  Impressive.  Thanks for that.  Dumb question but this still requires soldering, right?  I assume with the oven you would just set things on their place and they would stick together?  I've assembled a couple the hard way, with wires, etc., but they look extremely delicate and was looking for something that would require less skill :-)

Also, why does the BOM list so many components, when the basic setup works with just the BT adapter and a voltage regulator?
