Here's the repository. If I'm not wrong, Armada even teased a "finished" prototype on this thread some pages back, but the photo isn't available anymore and AFAIK there were no further advancements on this, which is a bummer...

ASRock Z97M OC Formula: Pentium G3258, GeForce GT 440, 16 GB DDR3-1600, Windows 10 (22H2)

That mini PCIe design isn't too relevant anymore. I guess the plan was to install a Wii BT Module directly to a laptop PCIe slot, but practically all laptops nowadays has switched to M.2 slots instead, so a new design would be needed...

I’ve now put inside a hard plastic case. Nothing gets really warm at all. It’s rock solid performance and stability wise even though I didn’t solder one of the pads for power. I used Nintendo wiimote and those 2in1 third party wiimotes and they both work excellent. I’ve also connected a WiiFit balance board, one of those Tony Hawk Shred boards. Everything works flawlessly as far as Bluetooth connection goes.

What is the best way to verify that Win10 is communicating with a homemade USB to Wii BT module (pulled right out of my Wii)?

Its connected to my PC, and I was expecting a new hardware recognized or something, I even did the zadig 2.4 for libusb successfully. I have to go buy some batteries for the wiimote to test that through Dolphin, but I expected some kind of identification, even in device manager. But Im not seeing anything.

*Update* I believe I need to update Win 10 Pro as I am using Version 1607 and it doesnt seem to support bluetooth. Otherwise I broke the module when I was yanking it out of my wii, it was a major pain getting it out and I heard something snap, unsure what though, but upfront the module looks fine.

In settings Bluetooth and other devices it will show up as BCM2045A or whatever chip your module has. I’m running Windows 10 version 1903.

Correction, a Wii BT Module will ALWAYS show as BCM2045A, regardless of the model...

I ended up using an old Logitech rumblepad case for mine. It had a sync button which was a nice bonus.

I used some hot glue to reinforce the solder joints and hold everything in place.

Thanks for the wiring Diagram Shank Smile

Hi, there.  Did you happen to pursue the project further?
This is about the third one I've seen but the others have gone MIA.

trust me if i say, i haven't forgotten about it.
its been a busy few months ( moving out takes a lot of time and funding lol ).
like i mentioned before though ive created a quick prototype that can be easily ordered on jlcpcb.com via the easyeda tools for around 20$
but thats the unassembled pcb (which should still work if you attach the required LD1117S33T or 3.3V regulator of your choice and a usb connector )

ive been looking for a cheap assembly service that can get the molex connector but no such luck so far..

due to funding ive also not been able to order the molex connectors, the pcb and a wii bluetooth module either. xD
the prototype is created purely on measurements i took of my own wii's module!
