Seeing how the PCB isn't going to be manufactured any time soon, is there someone who is willing to solder one of these modules to a USB cable and 3.3v voltage regulator and put it in a case if I pay them to do so? I tried doing it recently and wound up burning the Bluetooth module and don't feel confident in trying again.

This one looks promising if it doesn't fizzle out like Armada's.

Thanks everyone involved for making this possible, here's my second attempt - I fried my first one(it worked though) since I didn't bother to use insulation and shorted 3/5v to a data line.
Thankfully those chips are $1~ a pop.

Where do you get the chips for around 1 dollar? I am currently trying to get my business set up (3D-printing/technology/electronics) and am trying to make a "Passthrough Dolphin bar" and create them on demand. If the demand is high enough I might be able to buy the chips in bulk though.
Check my profile for up to date specs.

Aliexpress. Bought 4 thinking I'll destroy a few, ended up with 3 functional dongles.

They were about £5 each when I last looked, so now you've stolen my excuse not to buy one.

Actually, maybe I was just excluding things with 60 day delivery...

I've been told putting your real email into AliExpress is a great way to end up with loads of spam, but it won't let me do anything with a +, which means I can't use the gmail feature where anything between a plus and the @ is ignored, so I have to use the other thing where dots are ignored. Annoyingly, it won't let me use consecutive dots, either, and any time I leave an address in the box for more than a few seconds, it emails that address. I think it's only the final address that gets given to the seller, so hopefully I'll be able to set up a filter for that pattern of dots if it starts receiving spam.

I've ordered things from aliexpress all the time and haven't had spam issues.

The only gotcha to keep in mind is that shipping is usually long, around a couple weeks.

I buyed a few from eBay some time ago.

Just be careful with the used ones. Usualy they come in really bad shape.

Even some sellers listing like new, are crap.
