As a follow-up to the issues reported here, it seems like this issue only happens with certain graphics back-ends when vsync is enabled. See here.

When vsync is enabled happens on my end.

Today played mario kart and guitar hero for hours. Problem is just NSMB and zelda Skyword.

Problem could be Dolphin, video drivers or Windows 10 1809 and the way it handles vsync. Cant think another reason.

Same for me. I had a typo on my reply above yours, so I edited my post to correct it.

Great, at least we have a way to replicate this.

Lets see if a dev can bring some light here.

BTW are you using Windows 10 1809 (october 18 update)?

I'm looking to start this project soon and have a question about the module. In the picture of the two boards in the first post there are ground points, Do I ground all of them or can I just use the one dot along the bottom?

The two modules on the first post are the two different versions of the Wii BT module.  You use one of them, not both.  What you need in addition to one of those modules is a 3.3V step-down (from 5V) voltage regulator.  The ground contact from the voltage regulator and the BT module have to be wired together.  This is an example of a regulator you can use.  I used one similar to that one because the contacts are very accessible but there are many different packages.

The most helpful diagram I have seen for the wiring is this one.  Notice that the sync button is optional, since you can sync from the Dolphin GUI. I did not use the button because I found it hard to make the connections in general, although doable.

Has anyone made a pre-packaged version of this yet? Anyone posted any pics of their finished product of what they made? Looking to make one of these for myself now. Thinking I'm going to use a dead external usb hard drive like one of the western digital portables as a case and usb cable and wire it all up in there and glue it down with no switch. Going to use the AMS1117 as well. To me that seems to be the most visually appealing way to handle this. Smile

Didn't take much time at all Smile Haven't tested it yet other than plugging it into the PC at my work and getting the device recognized as "bcm2045a" so I hope this works when I take it home tonight to try out.

Question
(09-24-2018, 12:27 PM)mbc07 Wrote: If you happen to own the first revision of the Dolphin Bar with the updated firmware and also have some basic soldering skills, you can mod it to power the IR LEDs all the time and also can fix the flaw by replacing the resistors with proper ones so the IR LEDs don't end burning of being fed with too much power. I did that with mine (after having to replace 2 burnt IR LEDs and taking the stupid firmware update which introduced the new behavior)...

That got me very interested but I could not find more details about this mod. Is it explained somewhere, or did you design your own mod ?

In any case your help in replicating that mod would be much appreciated !

I haven't documented that when I did the modification, but I think I can open mine and take some pictures showing where I soldered the wire... I'll do that soon-ish, then I post here
