Hi Gamerlingual, these are just a few ideas to help you fault find.
Have you got your sensor bar powered on and does your Wiimote have a direct line of sight to it or two other sources of IR light? If so, how far away are you sitting from it? Is your room lit brightly by sunlight? If you are sitting far away you may need to adjust the sensitivity settings like you would on a real wii. Is the camera lens clean on the Wiimote? Does your wiimote work properly with your wii?
Good luck.
