How to use the wii remote cursor/IR

I'm having problems with the Wii Ir what should i do

I did this I Got my Wii U And placed it near my Laptop then I took the sensor bar and placed it on top of my laptop (the sensor bar is plugged in) and when I open the Wii menu I cant see the cursor appearing. Huh

A Wii U will only turn on the sensor bar if the currently running software can use the pointer and a Wii Remote is connected. I think it's possible to get around that by opening the Wii Menu (or any Wii game) on the Wii U.

i meant in dolphin how to use the cursor

Yes, I understand that you meant how to use the pointer in Dolphin. You need to make sure that the Wii U sends power to the sensor bar, then the pointer will work correctly in Dolphin.

The Wii U home menu on the real hardware uses the pointer as well... so the only thing you need to do is make sure that your Wii U is turned on and that the Wii-mote is connected to your laptop and not your Wii U console.

It's not that simple. If you're using the Wii U home menu, at least one Wii Remote needs to be connected to the Wii U, otherwise the Wii U won't turn on the sensor bar.
