Does the Dolphin emulator automatically makes it so you can your mouse to move the pointer? If not, how should I configure the controls?

actually you do need one thing because no ones fixed the remote and gamecube plugins back to how they were you need to make sure that the wiimote is set to mouse input and to make sure that any buttons that aren't using the mouse is set to keyboard to do this you have to keep it set as mouse and right click each button and then select what key you want to use after selecting keyboard in the drop down menu of the options for the button then press anything but clear, detect, and set (set and detect freeze dolphin) cause otherwise it won't actually set it or it will just freeze forcing you to end program without saving your settings for the button(s)

update: I tried assigning the a and b buttons to my mouse buttons but Dolphin doesn't detect my mouse clicks when I try to reassign buttons. Is there any way to use your mouse buttons?
