How to use controller???!

Hey, im new to this (as you can tell) and I have a question:

I would like to know how I can use my logitech controller with roms. It is a USB controller, and would have all of the buttons that the game would need. But how do I get it on the Pad setup screen? I dont know?!?! Help please!

Yes, go to config, and then plugins. The third one down will be pad, and click on the drop down box, an option there is njoy 0.3, then you can easily configure it.
