Im trying to play MH 3tri and im doing so just fine with xbone S controller, sometimes emulator just stops accepting controller's input and i have to press escape, or wait a bit, idk its random
(not what post is about but would also like to know solution to this)

However there is a part of the game which requires TV Wiimote crap to add monsters to the monster list. I set up TV Wiimote on mouse/keyboard but it doesnt work (default options, and i tried all kinds of randomly). When I "pause" with Wiimote, mouse movement is perfectly fine, but ingame it does nothing

Googled for hours and nothing about this apart from "use real wiimote".

Huh

What are your settings and are you using emulated or hybrid wiimote?

This is what I have for just regular use classic/xbox controller

I tried to setup wiimote nunchuck with "Wiimote 2" in contrl config. And it worked as I described in OP.

Are you sure it requires IR to use that part? It sounds like it wants you to use the controller, the only reason it works on the home menu I would think is because it always does. On the other hand I've never played this game so I can't say for sure.

I figured it out but its rather messy.
I have to go to wiimote emu config and change from xinput to kb+m; then use wiimote; then open config again and set back to xinput

really messy, if someone has better way share it
