hello evryone,i maybe a computer geek but i'm a total newbie with dolphin Big Grin
i know this kind of thread was already made, but i thought that perhaps since they got a bit old i'd better start a new one since we keep getting new revs of dolphin Shy
i was trying to figure out how to use my gamepad as an actual gamepad and not to emulate a wiimote. i know that the wii can use a classic gamepad for certain games (like DBZ BT 3,or monster hunter 3)
i was looking on the net and found this thread by luck:
http://forums.ngemu.com/showthread.php?t=116724
one of the people there said something about enabling classic controller to get it to work with a pulgin called njoy.
so is there an option on dolphin that would allow me to use my gamepad the way i want ? if not, what can i do ? and to do what was indicated in that thread Huh ?
thank you for your attention and i hope i hear from you soon ^^

By configuring the emulated Wiimote on Dolphin, using your own gamepad, you can use the gamepad in the way you like. You can select what button, or movement to emulate with which button, trigger, or stick on the gamepad. Of course some games also support the classic controller and the Gamecube pad. But your choice depends on what gamepad you have.
But I can't help you much if you don't mention what your gamepad is.
What gamepad do you have? It's not forbidden to mention it.

ty for taking an ineterrest in my case sir ^^
well i got an old model of a gamepad by leadership gamer (which name was goldship),for more info, check this link (in spanish):http://www.leadership.com.br/Joypad-Vibration.html?codproduto=1022
despite that it's an unknown mark it's still pretty good and works well with both pc games and dolphin as a GC gamepad (i wanted to buy a logitech gamepad or at least something as good as that but they don't sell that in my country sadly)
so there you have it ^^ i hope those infos helped

Oh, very good. It's similar to my XBOX 360 controller. You can set the emulated wiimote in 2 ways, depending on the cases.

Horizontally
If a game requires that you hold your wiimote sideways, it's easier to play, but more complicated to configure. In this case, set like this:

Basic buttons
(Left is Wii, right is Playstation)
button 1: Cross button
button 2: Circle button
(if it isn't comfortable, set 1 to O and 2 to X)
button A: Square button
button (Digital trigger) B: Triangle button

Digital pad
Up: Left
Down: Right
Left: Down
Right: Up

IR (pointer)
Leave it as it was in the default settings, and I mean using the mouse.

Tilt–>Use the left analog stick
Forward: Left
Back: Right
Left: Down
Right: Up

Swing
(None of my games use this, so, I don't know which the best way to configure it is. But if it's necessary for you, try using the Right analog stick.)

Simple movements (to the left of the D-pad)
Those are like buttons. It's not necessary that you have an analog stick, or trigger to use them. You can simply set them like this, or similar:
X:R1
Y:L1
Z:R2, or L2

Important: After you finish with this, name this profile "sideways", "horizontal", or whatever helps you and save it.

Vertically
If a game requires that you hold your wiimote normally, configure like this.

Basic buttons
In this case, the player uses the A,B more than the 1,2. So, configure in this way:
button A: Cross button
button B: Circle button
button 1: Square button
button2: Triangle button

Digital pad
Just like on your gamepad.
Up: Up
Down: Down
Left: Left
Right: Right

Tilt–> Left analog stick again
Just like your gamepad.
Forward: Up
Back: Down
Left: Left
Right: Right

Swing
(Again, I don't know)

Simple movements
Just like above.
X: R1
Y: L1
Z: R2

Important: After configuring this, name this profile, "vertical", "normal", or whatever helps you and save another profile.

SO
You must have 2 profiles now, the vertical and the horizontal, so that you won't need to configure again and again when changing games.

I hope this was helpful.
