How to turn on the GBA

I'm not sure how to turn on the GBA after It's plugged in. I went to Options>configure then in the gamecube tab and have the GBA selected in slot 4, but I don't know how to turn it on. I've gone through the options in the emulator, checked the dolphin wiki, and sifted through the forums a bit. Can anyone help?

By the way, I'm sorry if this belongs in in the support forum. I wasn't sure which to pick.
