How do I transfer my save files to an earlier version? I'm playing Sorcerer's Stone on 4.0.2 with a 64% completion rate last saved today (1/5) at 6:14 pm and a new file at 2% saved today at 6:23 pm. My computer files, however, say that "MemoryCardA.USA.raw" was saved on Christmas at 10:32 pm, "SRAM.raw" on 12/28 at 3:56 pm and "lastState.sav" on 12/28 at 1:13 pm. I've copied all of the above files to 3.0 and replaced the whole User file of 3.5 with that of 4.0.2, but when I load the game on 3.5 or 3.0, the saved file is at 17% from Christmas at 1:59 pm.

1- Why are you even using 3.0/3.5?
2- Just copy the memory card file to the 4.0.2´s memory card directory. 3- Don´t rely that much in state saves. They screw up lots of games and (ocassionally) in-game saves (normal saves in memory card). Rig 1: Windows 10 Home | AMD A6-1450 @ 600/1000/1400 MHz | AMD Radeon HD Graphics 8250 | 4GB RAM | HP Pavilion TouchSmart 11.
Rig 2: Windows 10 Pro | Intel Core i7-2640M @ 780/2800/3500 MHz | Intel HD 3000 Mobile | 8GB RAM | Dell Latitude 6320.

1.) There's a glitch in my game, and I was told using an older version might fix it.
2.) What is the memory card directory? 3.) Gotcha.
Actually...
1.) Um...read the title. 2.) How will that help? Again, read the title. I'm trying to transfer saves to an EARLIER version. Try a dictionary if you don't know what that means. 01-06-2014, 02:43 PM
Just copy the memory card from one memory card folder to the other. The memory cards are saved just how they would be on a gamecube/wii, iirc, so there's no conversion to do to anything. Just drag 'n' drop.
Copy or transfer?
I said in the original post, and I quote, "I've copied all of the above files to 3.0 and replaced the whole User file of 3.5 with that of 4.0.2..." 01-06-2014, 10:46 PM
Doesn't matter.
Also, you might be looking at the wrong files. Look for a more newly-saved memory card file. |
